Simply put to make figures comparative, given that the manufacturer only offers crankshaft power and DPCHIP measure only power at the wheels, DPCHIP have calculated wheel power back to a ‘comparative’ crankshaft power.īe sure you don’t confuse the figures you see here with what you achieve on a dyno. The engine power specifications listed here by DPCHIP are ‘converted or calculated’ figures and are to be used as a guide to the power gains you will get from installing a DPCHIP. These ‘Claimed’ manufacturers’ specifications are never checked or questioned by any Government authority or Independent group. If you go for warranty they'll send your injectors away to to be tesed to work out if it's a warranty job or not.Advertised STANDARD Power of 147kW yet the vehicle only achieves 105kW at the wheels on a dyno.įACT: - ALL ‘Claimed’ manufacturers engine power specifications are measured at the engines crankshaft. I 've come to relise the problem is with the injectors, without the chip it does not go into limp mode but runs rough when cold and the fuel eco is not as good as it was, told injectors are around 1K each which they say are damaged by Contaminants ( Water). Mines 05 on my third chip took it off about 9 months ago, nothing but trouble with going into limp mode. He was saying he should have kept the 05.has anybody else owned both version on here? 05/06 and then a later one? just to get their impressions. aswell as the exact same power module he was using constanly going into limp mode where with the 05 it never did. I spoke to a bloke just the other day who bought an 05 as soon as they cam out and later fitted a chip to it, and then he bought an early 08 lux and did the same thing and reckons the newer ones are crap compared to the earlier ones.his opinion, mind you.reckons the 05 had more low down torque and the newer ones lack that and rev out more.
